When I descend into the dark, candlelit caves of Oliver's, it's like entering a hidden world. I work here several nights a week, but I'd hardly call it work when I get to listen to live music ranging from jazz to blues to folk each night, tackle crosswords with punters, and witness such fascinating human interactions I'm already working on the book!
